 DTE v7.0 Program
Patches

The
following download files and program patches are for the Down To Earth applications
version 7.0 series. If you have an earlier version, please refer to the Patches "DTE
version 3.5 & earlier" link or contact our Technical Support
department.
Note
that with Windows system, all operators must be logged out of DTE prior to installing
patches, rebuilding applications, and linking the
libraries.

In all situations, once a changed program
is installed into the source directory, system logicals must be assigned, the
application(s) affected must be rebuilt, re-link the necessary libraries, and the
Operators log into DTE again to reflect the new changes.

SynergyDE v9 series code changes
Contact Technical Support if you have any
questions, plan to add a Vista client to your network, or wish to schedule a SynergyDE
update.
|
Summary of Change:
|
With Windows® exclusive Vista ® OS license
distribution starting in July 2008, SynergyDE and consequently
Down To Earth v7 require updates to run on any Vista or Windows 7
OS.
|
|
Currently
supported ALM customers may update to SynergyDE v9 for all
Windows networks or single user PCs at no cost. Please

details.
|
|
Supported (Windows) DTE
customers with v3.5 are automatically scheduled for a Down
To Earth update.
|
|
Please
Note :
A SynergyDE update
is not required for Vista PC connections to UNIX servers via
terminal emulation or Windows network access via Remote Desktop
Connection.
The DTE update
is required, however, if a UNIX server is updated to SynergyDE v9
series.

|
2007 Payroll W2
format & Electronic Filing
The SSA electronic file and W2 paper
format reporting requirements were changed in
2007.
|
Summary of Change:
|
Electronic filing has added and taken
away some internal coding and the W2 Social Security and
Control numbers are in new
locations.
|
|
It is
strongly suggested that you test the file submission with the
AccuWage software
provided at no cost by the SSA. To file electronically, you must
also have registered for a PIN
(now referred to as "login").
|
|

downloadable .ZIP file.

2006 Payroll
Electronic Filing
The SSA reporting requirements
were changed in 2006 for Roth IRA
reporting.
|
Summary of Change:
|
If no Roth IRA information
applies, the field values must be zero (not
blank).
|
|
It is strongly suggested that you
also test the file submission with the
AccuWage software provided at no cost by the
SSA. To file electronically, you must also have registered
for a PIN
(Personal Identification Number).
|
|

System Manager - Deleting Operator application specific security
|
Summary of Change:
|
The master record was deleted in error when
deleting an application specific
record.
|
| A new temporary work variable was added to
distinguish the master record from an application specific record
when deleting. |

Accounts Payable Balancing report
|
Summary of Change:
|
Discount dates were not being considered and
therefore included in this report when they should not have
been.
|
| New logic was added to consider the discount date
when setting up the transactions to balance with the General
Ledger, A/P account. |
