I have two types
of customers that require two
different pricing tiers for the
same items. How do I set this
up?
You can
actually have up to five pricing
tiers for any
item.
-
Within
the Item ID, Location
Tab, enter your
different prices in
the
Price 1,
Price
2,
etc.,
fields.
-
Within
the Name/Address,
Customer Tab, match
the Customer
type 1 through
5 to the price level
in your items 1
through
5.
The price level
for each customer is determined
by the value in the
Customer
type field.
This
pricing tier and other special
pricing priorities and discounts
defined determine the default
price on any Sales Order
entered.

I want to
run a special "Off-Season Sale"
with 15% off regular pricing for
only two weeks. Will DTE be able
to help me do
this?
Yes.
There are seven
different combination structures
of the DTE Inventory Special
Pricing,
Maintenance
menu.
You
can choose any of the
following combinations for
Special Pricing by
...
-
Customer &
item
-
Customer& item
category
-
Customer
-

-
Item Category &
location
-

&
item
-
Territory &
item
You can create
special pricing based on quantity
or price, and for an absolute
dollar or a percentage
discount.
In
addition, you can add a date range
for the period of time that the
special pricing
applies.

special pricing information,

How can I insure
that the serial/lot numbers
assigned to my items always
balance to the quantity of items
in the
warehouse?
There is
an Inventory Control, SLVERIFY, that
enables flexibility on this
subject.
Select
"Company" from the Inventory
Maintenance menu column and use the
"Locate record" shortcut to find
the SLVERIFY
Control.Your choices
are to allow only serial/lot
quantities
to
on the
quantities within the item's
location.
Note: Requiring
Serial/Lot quantities to equal will not
allow an operator to Exit the item
master until the quantities on hand
equal the number of serial
numbers. Manually adjusting
inventory may be more efficient if this
same Control is temporarily
changed.

How can I include
serial/lot number validation when
I process my next physical
count?
Serial/Lot number
counts are only available when
processing your count using scanner
input.
When
scanning the inventory
count,t
he
item is scanned, the quantities
are scanned, then the serial/lot
numbers are
scanned.
The scanner file
created is then uploaded into DTE for
update to the quantities on hand and
serial number master
files. If you choose
to enter your count manually,
serial/lot numbers must be adjusted via
the item ID, Serial/Lot Tab entry.

worksheet was created

each Bin.

Can I associate a
picture of my item with the Item master
in
DTE?
This
option is only available in the
DTE Windows
distribution.
Because some
systems are not
graphically oriented, you can
assign a .jpg,
.bmp,
or .gif
image only if you're processing
in a Windows®
environment.
Within the Item ID master, Item
Tab, enter the full path of the
image as found on your
system. For example, if the
file is located in the same folder
as your executable, enter the path
as EXE:itemname.jpg
There are two
shortcuts where you can view the image
– within the item master and the
Inquiry.
