New Applications New Applications

With the release of Down To Earth version 7 series, Job Cost was replaced with the more efficient Cost Center and new applications were added for optimum efficiency.  Some of the new applications are standard with any DTE distribtuion.  Others are optional "addon" software to consider as your need requires them.

 
New Applications:      

With the new DTE v7 release, general changes were made throughout all Down To Earth.  In addition to changing Job Cost to Cost Center, the previous Order Entry is now called Sales Order Entry and brand new applications were added:

  • Contact Management: This application provides a method of logging, tracking, accessing, and follow up contact with potential and existing customers and vendors. Contact Management is integrated with DTE accounting and distribution applications for direct entry and access.  In addition, certain functions such as customer statements, automatically update Contact Folders with notations.  Optional.
  • Cost Center: Replacing Job Cost application, the Cost Center application allows you to track costs by General Ledger account. Transactions associated with an expense account costs are carried from the application, through the G/L Interface process, and posted to Cost Center from General Ledger application.  The tracking is almost invisable yet provides vital information for analysis.  Optional.
  • Document Storage: Method of storing precise information to re-create hard copy reports or forms if needed such as Sales invoices and A/P checks.  Included.
  • Name/Address:  Master information for Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Order Entry ship to, Purchase Order mail to, Contacts, and Groups are all carried within one application - Name/Address. Each application specific section is defined or edited from a different "Tab" displayed on the screen.  From this application, the master information is stored, printed, manipulated for labels, verified for errors and duplicates, and defined for import/extort ability. All identification codes are now numeric - alpha codes are not allowed. However, there is a cross reference to previously stored ID.  Included.
  • Warehouse Shipping Management: As a stand alone PC only application, this part of the DTE applications communicates with the Sales Order Entry system to manage the most efficient packing and shipping arrangement possible. Even though this application is only available on a PC, the communication with a non-windows environment is simple through the file transfer or network abilities of today's systems. Optional.
