Print to a specific printer
You are allowed up to 99 different printer definitions for each
company.
|

When you
select Printer
, a list of the printers that
were defined via System Manager is displayed for you to
choose from.
|
|
From this list,
select the printer to which the report should be sent.
To send your report to the first printer on the displayed
list, just press <Enter> .
|
|
Note:
Windows systems also have the added feature of
previewing and optionally searching for a field value
in the report before printing with the API
functionality.
|

View the report to screen
The View menu heading is enabled allowing you to move within the report
from the menu or use the shortcuts.
|
|
For
15" monitors, you see the left 80 characters of your report
and the first 1/3 or so of each report page when you select
Screen.
Seventeen inch or more monitors (windows only) may be defined
for a wider view.
|
|
Use shortcuts to
move directly
from the left to the right side of the report, forward and
back one screen at a time, or go immediately to the first or
last page of the report.
|
|
When you've seen what you needed, use the "Abort"
shortcut to return to the menu.

Print to the
system
queue
Frequently used when you're having hardware
dificulty.
Very helpful
for reports difficult to reproduce such as posting
registers.
|
|
Send your report to the
Down To Earth print Queue to be printed at a future point
in
time.
|
|
This
option is also helpful when you want to print more than one copy of the
same report.
|
|
You can access the Down
To Earth queue listing from any application via the
Queued
reports selection of the Reports menu column.
|
|
Your
operator ID definition controls whether you have access
to All
queued reports, your
Company's
reports, or just the reports queued by
the User
.

Print data to an ascii text file
Easily allows you to export report data for
import into a third party software.
|
|
Choose Text
File, to create your
report in a flat, ascii text file
format.
|
|
The
data is written in the form of the report, to your system's
designated storage drive.
|
|
Enter a
filename to have a file automatically created in the current working
directory or you can specify an entire path to send the file to a
different directory.
|
|
For
example:
RPT:vendlist.rpt
~ or ~ c:\mydocu~1\vendlist.rpt
