It's good to
know what version you're running of any software you have installed. Down To Earth
is no exception. In today’s ever changing world, not all software versions work on all
hardware. Keep reading to find out what DTE and SynergyDE versions
you have installed.

Down To Earth version:
The current Down To Earth v7
is easily identified from the menu bar. However, prior versions are not visible from within
the DTE menu.
Windows Environments –
v7:
|

DTE v7 displays both SynergyDE and DTE
versions by clicking on the “About” icon, upper right corner.

Non-Windows Environments –
v7:

While on the main DTE menu bar
(where you select the applications), use your Help shortcut to display the version
series.

Any Environment – v3.5 and
prior:
|
 |
Log into DTE and choose “System Manager” from
the Miscellaneous menu column of the Main
menu.
Choose “File characteristics” from the SM
Maintenance menu column. Choose GL for the application and
enter glweek.ism for the
Filename field. The window
displays the Record
length field to compare with the below
information.

Synergyde version:
Windows
Environments:

Left-click on the
Start button, select Run.
Type
dbr
in the Open field prompt.
A window
dislplays the Synergy Runtime Version number in the colored bar at the
top.

| Non-Windows
environments : |

Login to your system with the d2ev3 login you created when
DTE was first installed. This login should set all required
logicals.
With logicals
set, type: dbr
(unix) or run (vms)
The DBL runtime
version is displayed.
